Abinet Teshome is a photographer based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He believes everyone and every society tells a story. Where he comes from, there is plenty to be told and he believes that photography is the best medium to share such stories.





Genna, Lalibela
Atikilt Tera
Lalibela is one of the oldest towns in Ethiopia and home to the famous rock-hewn churches. It’s located in the northern part of Ethiopia from where the Zagwe dynasty ruled the country in the 12th and 13th century. Genna, the Christmas-mass held in Lalibela is unique. Dozens of priests, dressed in white traditional clothes, with large crosses in their hands, form a circle and sing spiritual songs.
Atikilt Tera is a familiar name for many consumers in Addis Ababa. In this area one can find vendors of fruits and vegetables. The name ‘Atikilt Tera’ means a market for vegetables.
